PLB Location

Hi All
where do people recommend placing their PLB? (RescueMe PLB1)
I've seen people with these on the shoulder straps of their PFD, but feel that in an emergency i wouldn't be able to see it well enough to activate it/see that its working. Does keeping it in a PDF pocket suffice? Any recommendations?

I keep mine on my shoulder strap, but it's on a lanyard, so if I need to use it, I will pull it from its case, so it will be in my hand, not stuck on my shoulder.
