My understanding is the Bass are back in a big way. Those old enough to remember Bass from last time round will want to listen to this week\'s program. I used to catch them in the 60s but they were largely gone by the 70s. Over-trawling of shallow water areas. Anglers used to plant stakes in the sand at LWS in their favourite areas to foul the trawlers\' nets. It got quite ugly in places at times.
In nature\'s classic way, once there weren\'t enough left to be commercially viable they were left alone, and they staged a comeback. Bass were (are?) \"the\" shore angling fish. I haven\'t caught one since May 1979. A mighty fish to eat too.
